Overview
The City of Norfolk is dedicated to ensuring safe and accessible roadways for all users, recognizing that reaching your destination safely is a fundamental right. To achieve this goal, the City is committed to developing a comprehensive safety action plan, funded by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Program.
This initiative will achieve zero roadway fatalities and serious injuries by working with the community to:
- Identify challenges
- Develop effective strategies
- Implement solutions
The Norfolk Safety Action Plan aims to provide accessible and equitable multi-modal transportation options throughout the City, promoting a safer, more inclusive, and connected transportation network for all.
We would love for you to engage and take ownership of this plan. Please take our survey, attend community meetings, share with friends and neighbors, and follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter/X.
